All lodgings (guest houses) from our web site have dinning rooms or restaurants, where we can enjoy local meals. Some plates and cups are made from potteries, designed to provide quality service, to remember the ancestral customs of our culinary culture. In all our lodgings is prepared food with good quality, exclusive for our demanding guests. Titicaca Homestay is a group of selected guest houses where visitors experience our gastronomy, as lunch or dinner with chili pepper (rocoto or aji). Meals include: starter, main dish, dessert and muña tea (andean mint), for easy digestion.
Our menu is based on local produce, quinoa and potatoes; much of which is grown organically in our pre inca farming terraces. Additionally, our local cook prepares lunch or dinner with fresh fish from the lake (trout or kingfish), also alpaca meat to enrich the andean flavor, well Puno & Lake Titicaca area is home of alpacas, quinoa and potatoes. Rumbo Explora has assumed a social responsibility and environmental commitment with local communities.
For our most demanding customers our company include the most selected wines. Besides hotdrinks as coca tea or muña tea (andean mint), is served after each meal, which is very good for altitude sickness.
